Call for Exhibitors: Impact in Mind

Unpublished Africa invites African photographers to submit their work for our upcoming exhibition, Impact in Mind.

We are seeking powerful images that document social issues, celebrate cultural diversity, and inspire positive change. The work submitted should tell compelling stories, raise awareness, and provoke thought.

Theme: Impact in Mind

We encourage submissions that explore the following themes:

  • Social Justice: Capturing stories of resilience, activism, and community empowerment.

  • Environmental Issues: Capturing the impact of climate change and environmental degradation.

  • Cultural Heritage: Preserving and celebrating diverse cultures and traditions.

  • Human Stories: Portraying the lives of individuals and communities.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Image Quantity: Submit a selection of 3-5 images. (These can be a series)

  • Caption: Provide a brief caption for each image, explaining the context and significance.

  • Artist Statement: A concise statement about your photographic practice and the inspiration behind the work submitted.

  • Headshot: Include a headshot in your submission.

Deadline: 21 November 2024

Selected photographers will have the opportunity to:

  • Exhibit their work.

  • Participate in workshops and panel discussions with industry experts.

  • Network with other photographers and creative professionals.
