Is There a Creative Community in Your City We Should Connect With?
If you’re connected to a creative hub, cultural organisation, university, or photography collective and think your city could host an Unpublished Africa Photo Walk, we’d love an introduction.
For the past 30 weeks, we’ve shared entry-level opportunities for African visual storytellers, both those created by Unpublished Africa and others curated from across the continent.
The goal is simple: access.
Many creatives miss opportunities not because of a lack of talent, but because they don’t hear about them in time. Information is part of creative infrastructure.
Our focus remains on first opportunities: first exhibitions, first publications, first professional networks as these early steps shape confidence, credibility, and long-term careers.
This year, we’re also expanding our in-person work. If you’re connected to a creative hub, cultural organisation, university, or photography collective and think your city could host an Unpublished Africa Photo Walk, we’d love an introduction.
Most of our Photo Walks are hosted in collaboration with local organisations or Creative Business Studio alumni, reflecting our commitment to community-led, pan-African growth.
Welcome to African Visual Storyteller! Your weekly guide to African photographers, exhibitions, and creative opportunities.
