Thank you from Unpublished Africa

2023 really was a year of collaborating to create more spaces for African creatives to not only share their work but also assist them in improving their creative businesses:

During the course of the year we introduced a program called Creative Business Studio which saw creatives from over 12 African countries improve their creative businesses (and find collaborators for projects they later had).

We published two volumes of Africa Published with the themes “For our story” and “How we navigated” with artists sharing their journeys, some of the challenges they face and what they hope to achieve.

We also published Volume 1 of From the African Streets and under the theme See My City, we had photographers showcasing their cities in an effort to shift the narrative surrounding Africa and its cities and towns.

Our exhibition this year was a product of collaboration with a participant who was in our programs.
